New NAI STEADY LINK® Series-C RF50 Low PIM Coax Assemblies

Troy, MI – NAI, a leading designer and manufacturer of custom interconnect solutions which deliver power and signals to monitor data, connect people and keep equipment operating, is now offering a totally new line of standard interconnect products under the STEADY LINK® brand.  The first of many STEADY LINK® assembly products to come is the new line of rugged Series-C Half-inch Low PIM Corrugated Coaxial Cable Assemblies.  These 50 ohm coax jumpers are designed to address the dramatic increase in the use of mobile devices by providing interconnect solutions for radios and antennas required to service 4G LTE and 5G on cell towers and microcells.

NAI will be launching other new STEADY LINK® assembly products in the near future, including flexible coax assemblies, LMR 240 and 400 assemblies, assemblies with a variety of connectors, including Straight and Right Angle connectors, Male and Female versions and Nex10* connectors, along with GPS & Sync cable assemblies.

The new Series-C Half-inch Low PIM Coax Jumpers are used to connect transmitters, receivers, antennas and other equipment in antenna feeder systems on cell towers, in cellular base stations and in microcells – with simple plug and play installation.  NAI’s Series-C RF50 coax cable assemblies are well suited for connections in low loss and VSWR signal transmission at high frequency applications.

The first of a new line of STEADY LINK® Series-C Low PIM Coax Jumpers, these new RF50 assemblies have a ½” outer diameter and can be provided in custom lengths, along with a choice of several straight connectors for pretermination at each end.  These 50-ohm corrugated coax jumpers from NAI represent a cutting-edge solution for harsh outdoor environments.  Engineered to withstand extreme temperatures, their ruggedized design will also tolerate other demanding conditions of continued outdoor exposure.

Standard components for NAI’s STEADY LINK® cable assemblies are inventoried, and assemblies are made to order with quick shipment options.

The solid center conductor is copper-plated aluminum, and the outer shield is corrugated copper.  The dielectric is a low-density Foam Polyethylene, and the cable has an outer LSZH PE jacket.  The ½” cable nominal O.D. is .62” with a bend radius of 70mm single.

Connector Options:

Customers can choose from the following available straight male connectors for pretermination at either end of the assembly: 7-16 DIN, N, 4.3-10, and 4.1-9.5.  The connector body is brass, with tri-metal plate, and the connector nut is brass nickel plate.  Silicone rubber is used to seal the connector.

Other Specifications:

All STEADY LINK® Series-C Low PIM coax assemblies are 50 ohms with low return loss, sweep tested 800 MHz to 2700 MHz.  Frequencies over 3 GHz are also available.  The assemblies are crush-resistant and carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.  Operating temperatures are -40⁰C to +85⁰C, and storage temperatures range from -70⁰C to +85⁰C.  See Data Sheet for more details.
